Getting there

Bwindi sits 460-530 km from Kampala depending on the sector — an 8-9 hour scenic drive, or a 1-hour Aerolink flight from Entebbe to Kihihi (north) or Kisoro (south) airstrips.

Buhoma is the original and best-served trailhead; Ruhija is high, cool and quieter; Rushaga has the most gorilla families and the Habituation Experience; Nkuringo offers the most dramatic scenery and the toughest treks.
