This compact three-day safari is built around one unforgettable morning: your gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We handle the permit (included), the long scenic drive through the terraced hills of Kigezi, and comfortable lodge accommodation minutes from the Buhoma trailhead.
Treks last from 30 minutes to several hours depending on where your assigned family has nested; once found, you spend a strictly protected hour watching them feed, play and doze — often from just a few metres away.
Depart Kampala at 6:00 am, crossing the equator at Kayabwe (photo stop) and lunching in Mbarara. Arrive Buhoma by late afternoon; briefing and overnight at the lodge.
After a ranger briefing at 7:30 am, hike into the forest with your group of eight. Spend one magical hour with a habituated gorilla family, then return for a celebratory dinner.
Optional early Batwa community walk, then the return drive with a lunch stop in Mbarara. Evening drop-off at your Kampala or Entebbe hotel.

A fantastic experience. Only advice: book months ahead as permits sell out. Our guide Robert was a walking encyclopedia.

Everything ran like clockwork — the guide's knowledge was extraordinary and the moment with the wildlife left us speechless. Worth every shilling.
